The historic Odeon building in Bradford city centre is under threat once more after a planning application to completely demolish the building has been submitted to Bradford Council by Yorkshire Forward and Langtree Artisan. There is a serious problem with the DNS system used by most indmedia sites and services at the moment. It isn't yet clear whether this is a result of a mistake, breakdown or mischief but people are working on it. This effects all websites, mailing lists and other services using the ".indymedia.org" domain.
This includes the imc-northern mailing lists and IRC chat system.

Anonymous activists have successfully sabotaged the Glentaggart opencast coal mine in South Lanarkshire. The unknown individual/s have disabled the conveyor belt that moves coal from the mine to Ravenstruther rail terminal from where the coal is sent to Drax power station in Yorkshire.
