As the voting booths opened at Unity Day in Hyde Park, Leeds this morning, a crowd began to mass at the unofficial "speakers corner" set up by the Yorkshire neighbourhood of the Climate Camp in the Northern Indymedia tent.

2 speakers took to the soapbox to get their message across to voters as to why their power station should be targeted. Laced with references to the dirtiness of coal fuelling all sorts of misguided fantasies, the speeches were impassioned as what promised to be a furiously fought day of campaigning to kickstart the big vote swung into action.

Who gets the direct action is up to you the voters to decide. Check out http://www.thegreatclimateswoop.org for the latest updates on the campaign and join the mailing list there to get involved.

Drax or Ratcliffe? Cast your votes please!
