Wikileaks: New backup domain names

Whilst the attack on Wikileaks currently underway on behalf of the US government continues, efforts are being made to keep the site available and in the public domain.

Earlier today, the DNS (Domain Name) entry "wikileaks.org" was shut down by the US company with which it was registered.

A new entry "wikileaks.ch" was set up, but has apparantly also become unavailable.

Wikileaks have been under assault from many angles over the last few days.

On the second national walk out in opposition to the government’s education policy, protesters have led an occupation of the central administrative offices at the University of Leeds. The Ziff Building, which contains the Vice Chancellor’s office, was briefly taken by students after a march through Leeds city centre.

In Leeds today over one thousand students walked out to demonstrate against the Government spending cuts.  The demonstration was friendly with slogans such as, "Education is a right","Fib Dems" and "Fuck Capitalism not students".  The students were joined with school children from Allerton Grange, Ilkely Grammar, Lawnswood and more. The 'Managing Radioactive Waste Safely' Partnership is piling on radioactive rubbish with an advertising campaign sent to every house in the Lakes with the aim of "implementing geological disposal" in Cumbria.

For every meeting we can afford to attend, Radiation Free Lakeland will be handing out leaflets urging people to oppose this diabolic process.
