A Governmental-Corporate Army Of Social Network Propagandists to Silence Freedom of Information and Speech by Antony Pudney The U.S. government has pushed forward with a new digital agenda since Obama came to power. With the push for cyber security the pentagon has gone onto state that the internet is now a domain of war.[1] This push to ‘secure’ the internet has come at a time when millions of people are utilizing important information on what their governments and corporations are up to. This information is of great importance to freedom of speech and of holding governments and corporations accountable for their crimes. So as we see an increased number of people using the internet to investigate corruption and social injustice we have seen a massive governmental push-back against online freedom of speech and information.
