...For A Nights T.V. Watching that explores the nature of the representation of men who prefer to sleep with inanimate women and dolls. The seminar will compare similarities in a ‘new wave’ of gender representation by looking at the documentary Guys & Dolls and the film Talk to Her, both of which aired consecutively on the same night.

Bond, Bourdieu and Cultu/re
A short case study in the cultural consumption of cult fiction. This presentation will apply the ideas of Pierre Bourdieu to fiction and films that make up the Bond series. It will be illustrated with film clips, including the rare US television version of Casino Royale.
