Do you care about the future of Bradford City Centre?
Are you concerned about the number of empty shops, reduced amenities and struggling businesses?
Would you like to see greater vision and leadership over the future development of the City Centre?
Neighbourhood Ventures is a not-for-profit organisation based in Bradford that is looking to work with people on the future of the City Centre. Whether you live, work or volunteer in the Centre we are keen to involve you in what we do.
We would like to invite you to a meeting on the evening of Thursday 18th April to discuss setting up a community council or town council for Bradford City Centre in order to devolve more power and influence to that area and create a body that is focused on regenerating and improving it.
It would have involvement in a variety of local issues including planning applications, transport, policing and economic development and could provide more vision and leadership. It would be directly elected and anybody who lived, worked or volunteered in the Centre would be able to stand for election.
If there is enough support we will start a campaign and trigger a legal process to set up a community council or town council for the City Centre.
Thursday 18th April, 7pm to 9pm
