Copenhagen was a wash out. The failure of government elites and their big business sponsors inside the Bella Center shows that ordinary people need to take the lead in dealing with climate change.

The Camp for Climate Action was conceptualised 4 years ago. After some successful wins - notably the shelving of plans for a new coal power station and Kingsnorth and a third runway at Heathrow, the movement is asking itself, where next?

This one day regional gathering will feed into a larger national gathering in mid-February.
