In the countdown to Copenhagen, we explore the political and economic impact of climate change and clarify the human impact on our climate through an open seminar, exhibition and showing of the film 'Age of Stupid'. The event is free, but booking is required.
We are hearing about Climate Change all the time these days. But how often do we get the chance to really understand what it means? What difference will it make if the world gets 2 degrees or even 3 degrees hotter?
In the countdown to the December UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, this public discussion will explore what changes are happening in the climate, and what this means for human societies around the world. Our aim is to clarify the facts, consider future scenarios and reflect on possible outcomes from the Climate Change Conference.
The event includes input from speakers plus discussion. Climate Walks, the new climate change display from the New Economics Foundation, will be available to try out. The evening will end with a showing of the film The Age of Stupid.
We will also be hosting a post Copenhagen reflection in January.
Speakers at the seminar will be Simon Lewis and Paul Rogers from University of Bradford staff.
