Hope you all enjoyed November 30th strikes, pickets and demos. The
political climate might be hotting up but the weather's growing cooler
and we've whacked the heating up at The Space Project. Although
knowing that every 1% increase in energy bills plunges another 40,000
homes into fuel poverty disinclines us to contribute to the massive
profits of the energy companies. That's why we're going to Fuel
Poverty Campaign Plotting today, Sunday 4th at 1pm at The Space
Project.

You won't need your coat on for the evening though as it'll be feisty
enough with extraordinary folk songs of ordinary folk by Ewan McLennan
and friends Jimmy Connell and others. Bring pennies for the door and
the bar and bring your songs. 8pm, arrive prompt, it might get packed.

If we had accomodation (but we don't) you might as well stay over
because the week is busy too. Monday 5th at 7.30pm is Plan C for
Leeds: strategy discussions on how are we to go beyond the current
movements and create political coherence without dogma?

If these revolutionary times remind you of another, maybe come down
Tuesday to revisit 1968 with "Medium Cool" the latest offerings from
Militant Cinema, again at 7.30pm. A 60s counter culture classic that
is part film, part documentary and famously contains scenes shot
amidst the actual riots surrounding the Convention.

Weds 7th is the Leeds Surrealist Group's third journal launch
"Phosphor" on the theme of "Memory Reclaimed". 7.30pm, and including a
special screening of the latest Jan Svankmayer's film "Surviving Life:
Theory and Practice".

You can keep your slippers on Thursday but back out Friday 9th for a
Calais Info Talk by No Borders at 7.30.

All this at The Space Project, 37-38 Mabgate Green.
