LUU Amnesty International are pleased to present a talk by Jacinta Kent, the founder of the Leeds Against Sex Trafficking (LAST) Network and Kate Bratt-Farrer, the director of the Anneli Project - Leeds 'safe house' dedicated to helping the victims of human trafficking.
This is to be held in conjunction with 'Protect the Human Week' that is taking place week beginning 31st Oct.
... Human trafficking is a massive problem with people being smuggled into and around the UK and subjected to horrific conditions right underneath our noses. It is a form of modern-day slavery and LUU Amnesty International welcome the opportunity to raise the profile of this serious, exploitative crime that is occurring both at a national level within the UK and at an international level.
Come along to Rupert Beckett Lecture Theatre in Michael Sadler Building at 5pm on Thursday 10th November. It promises to be a very insightful talk.
There will be a chance for Q&A at the end.
Please feel free to bring friends -- everyone is welcome.
