The Commonplace is licensed once again, the Camp for Climate Action is in town, the night is young, the beer is cheap (and organic).

Come for a night of merriment and celebration. After months of arduous legal wrangling from the Commonplace Collective, after hours of arduous consensus wrangling at the Camp for Climate Action gathering, it's time to go wilder than the wild things. And all the money goes back into making the Commonplace better than ever.

So far, we've got a steaming lineup, with more to be confirmed:

  • The Calliope of the Future - Making an accordian and a double bass sound like a basement full of neo-victorian generators. Unitedstatesians touring the UK on bikes.
  • Forty Million Mexicans - Autumn leaves crunching under your feet.
  • Nick Rasle - Somewhere between Jeff Buckley, Devendra Banhart and Frederick "Toots" Hibbert.
  • Matt Dunne - Better than donuts.Aaaaaaand DJ Defunkt (tbc)

The Commonplace is an amazing, autonomous, radical social centre in the centre of Leeds. And to enjoy its merriment, you need to be a member (or be signed in by one). Do it now for your card to be ready to collect on the night. See http://www.thecommonplace.org.uk/membership.html for details of paying by paypal or send a cheque to the address on the website. Just 2 pounds for the year. Do it anyway! Loads more amazing licensed events coming up!!
