This months Northern Indymedia meeting will take place at the Cuts Cafe in Leeds, an occupied space in the heart of the city.
From 1pm til 2.30 we'll be doing a range of skillshares from open publishing and citizen journalism to how to write a good news story. Combine that with DIY radio, Zine making and planning for covering the forthcoming revolution, there should be something for anyone interested in being the media.
From 2.30 onwards we'll be escaping to the cabinet news rooms to get down to the nuts and bolts of keeping this newsite running. All are welcome to attend this session too but be aware it can be a little offputting for newcomers as the geeks tend to talk exclusively in binary and the others fight to the death over the last piece of cake on the table. We are however a friendly bunch really and all are welcome to get involved if they want to see how to run a local news site.
