As part of Cuts Cafe we present:

A talk including Friends of Kirkgate Market [link to word press] about the regeneration and gentrification of the city centre.

Friends of Leeds Kirkgate Market is a new group for everyone – customers, traders, citizens and visitors – who love Kirkgate Market and want it to survive and flourish in its present form and not become yet another bland and soulless shopping centre.

 

Angry about the cuts?

Join us for a week of workshops, discussions and action focusing on the current ideology around Con-Dem government's cuts and the privatisation of public and social services.
There will be discussions on education and the cuts, NHS and privatisation, austerity and the housing crisis and more
We will provide free tea and coffee and help facilitate open spaces, workshops and evening events.
