PROTEST OUTSIDE 'TAX DODGERS' VODAFONE!
12.15PM, THURSDAY 28TH OCTOBER (TOMORROW),
OUTSIDE VODAFONE STORE, COMMERCIAL STREET, LEEDS CITY CENTRE
Vodafone's flagship Oxford Street store was closed by protesters angry that the firm has been let off a potential £6bn tax bill when welfare spending is being slashed by the Con Dem coalition.
Protesters demonstrated outside the flagship store with banners branding the company 'tax dodgers' and urging the company to 'Pay your taxes, save our welfare state'. The shop was then occupied forcing its closure for the day.
The London protesters are urging other occupations of Vodaphone shops across the country. We intend to do the same!
