One's visit to Liverpool

Today one visited FACT in Wood Street to learn about Linux
Reading the promotional literature, one was most puzzled by the "Using "Open source" software - Dealing with practical things such as what Linux is, how to install it, how to use it, how to contribute to open source projects and how to use other open source things."
We did try to bring our husband, but he was very busy interviewing some young ladies he met in the Lime Street area. He is very interested in civil engineering, so was unable to refuse the offer of being shown a nice pipe of stone.
As we approached FACT, we were not amused by the protests against one's grandson's wedding. But like our brave boys in Afghanistan we soldiered on and were soon rewarded by some very good cakes. We were interested to learn, when using "Open source" software, that the recipes for the cakes were "Open Sauce". This confused somewhat.
As we return to London this evening, we will be talking to the footman about installing Lucid Puppy on our corgis and installing Mandriva on our chauffeur. Mint.
