The first of the anti DSEI arms trade protests took place yesterday, one of which took place at Anthony Gormleys 4th Plinth in Trafalgar Square.

A plinther from Yorkhire and Humber protested against the DSEI and arms trade yesterday morning on the 4th plinth. She was encouraging people to take action against banks who invest in the arms trade and to take action against arms trade manufacturers and industries in local areas directing them to maps on anti arms trade websites.

The plinther, who sounds like she is from Northern Ireland, made a poignant start to the day, on the plinth holding a broken rifle - symbol of the war resisters.

The action/art included a flash mob die in on the ground and a die in on the plinth and a call out to support the anti DSEi protests this week and the Smash Edo decommissionars.
