Occupation of Bradford University created on 12/06/10
-
As of 20:45 this evening, the 6th december 2010, Students at Bradford University have taken over the management suit outside the vice chancelors office with the intent to remain here until further notice. In the morning we will be having a gathering in the main entrance area (Atrium) to help bring attention to the reasons behind the occupation, the main reason being the tuition fee increase to £9,000 a year, as well as the Vice Chancelors reluctance to release a statement to the press showing support for the thousands of students who have taken to the streets as well as occupations all across europe over the past few months in protest against the cuts being proposed by the government. The effects of the cuts will not effect us who are currently at University as much as it will effect those who will be applying to university in years to come. Education is our right, it is our future, this is our time.
